Apple Event: The iPhone’s are here!

Apple's "Hi, Speed" Event just wrapped up where Apple unveiled 4 new iPhones which have the all new squared-off design and 5G, Apple also unveiled the HomePod Mini, a smaller and more affordable HomePod.
The new HomePod Mini is smaller than the HomePod with a new round shape and it's wrapped in mesh fabric, it has integration with Siri, and comes in two colors (space gray and white). On top is a backlit touch surface for controls. It’s powered by an S5 chip. Apple said it delivers 360 degree audio and it can integrate with other speakers. Apple said the HomePod mini analyzes the music and optimizes loudness, dynamic range, and more. It costs $99 and you can preorder it on November 6.
iPhone 12 & iPhone 12 Mini
Apple announced the all new iPhone 12 and the 12 Mini, the iPhone 12 is 6.1 inches and the 12 Mini is 5.4 inches, they both feature the all new squared-off design and 5G. Apple claims the iPhone 12 Mini is the smallest, thinnest, and lightest 5G phone in the world.
Both of them got new OLED screen called the "Super Retina XDR", compared to last year's iPhone 11 which had LCD called the "Liquid Retina Display", The iPhone 12’s OLED screen has a peak brightness of 1200 nits and supports Dolby Vision, HDR 10, and HLG, Apple also said they both will have new finish on the glass called the "Ceramic Shield" to improve the durability of the iPhone which has 4x better drop protection and Apple said it is tougher than any smartphone glass till date. Water resistance has also been improved.
The iPhone 12 lineup is powered by the A14 Bionic SoC. This is the world’s first processor to use a 5nm process. Apple says the new six-core CPU is up to 50 per cent faster than any other smartphone, also for the GPU which Apple says is the best in a smartphone.
The iPhone 12 lineup also supports 5G, Apple says it has designed the iPhone 12 lineup to achieve ideal network performance while balancing battery life. A “smart data mode” uses LTE when your current activity doesn’t demand 5G speeds.
Both iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Mini use a new 12MP main camera and also a 12MP Ultra-Wide camera, Apple says low-light performance has improved, The front camera has gained Night Mode as well.
Apple also improved wireless charging on the iPhone 12, which contains a “MagSafe” system with built-in magnets to guarantee that the iPhone properly lines up with the supported MagSafe accessories. Cases and other accessories snap onto the iPhone 12 magnetically. Apple is introducing a dual wireless charger for the iPhone and Apple Watch that utilizes the new MagSafe tech.
Apple is also removing the charging brick and the EarPods from its iPhone 12 boxes, this move is meant to push forward the company’s environmental goals.
The iPhone 12 lineup is available in 5 colors- blue, green, black, white, and red. The iPhone 12 Mini starts at $699 and iPhone 12 starts at $799, with 64GB, 128GB and 256GB storage options. Preorders start on November 6th for iPhone 12 Mini and October 16th for iPhone 12.
iPhone 12 Pro & iPhone 12 Pro Max
Apple has finally announced the iPhone 12 Pro and the iPhone 12 Pro Max with 5G and the all new squared-off design. Both the 6.1-inch iPhone 12 Pro and 6.7-inch iPhone 12 Pro Max are bigger than last year’s 5.8-inch iPhone 11 Pro and 6.5-inch iPhone 11 Pro Max. The iPhone 12 Pro Max being the biggest iPhone Ever. They feature a stainless steel design and an OLED screen.
Apple said they both will have new finish on the glass called the "Ceramic Shield" to improve the durability of the iPhone which has 4x better drop protection to prevent your phone from cracking.
The new iPhone 12 Pro models will feature Apple’s A14 Bionic chip just like the iPhone 12 and the iPhone 12 Mini. The new chip is Apple’s first to use a 5nm process and it is the most powerful chip ever made by Apple. Apple says that both the new six-core CPU and the four-core GPU are the fastest ever, with performance that the company claims is up to 50 percent faster than any other phone.
The new additions on this year’s models is 5G. The iPhone 12 Pro models will support both sub-6GHz and mmWave 5G. Apple says it has designed the iPhone 12 lineup to achieve ideal network performance while balancing battery life. Apple says that it offers “the most 5G bands of any smartphone.”
Apple is offering a triple-camera system on both the iPhone 12 Pro and Pro Max, just like the last years iPhone 11 Pro models, with 12-megapixel wide, telephoto, and ultrawide camera lenses. The wide camera now offers a faster f/1.6 aperture, which Apple says offers improved low-light performance, while the 52mm focal telephoto now offers a 4x optical zoom range.
An exclusive to the iPhone 12 Pro lineup is the LiDAR Sensor, which was first seen on the iPad Pro. Apple says that the LiDAR scanner will help focus in low-light situations, making autofocus for low-light photography up to six times faster. It also enables Night Mode portrait photography shots.
The iPhone 12 Pro Max gains more in the camera. There’s a new 12MP telephoto with 52mm focal length that can optically zoom in up to 2.5 times. There’s a new wide camera with an f/1.6 aperture and a new OIS system.
Apple also teased a new feature that it calls “Apple ProRAW” that will be available on the iPhone 12 Pro and 12 Pro Max later this year. The company says that it’ll offer existing computational photography benefits like its Deep Fusion and Smart HDR along with the flexibility of RAW photos. It will let users adjust things like sharpening, color highlights, and more while still taking advantage of Apple’s existing photography enhancements. The new iPhone 12 Pro phones will also be able to shoot in HDR video, for the first time, including support for shooting directly in Dolby Vision HDR and also edit them directly from the photos app.
Both models are also compatible with Apple's new Magsafe wireless charger with built-in magnets to guarantee that the iPhone properly lines up with the supported MagSafe accessories.

The iPhone 12 Pro starts at $999 and the iPhone 12 Pro Max starts at $1,099 with 128GB, 256GB and 512GB as the storage options and they are available in four colors- silver, graphite, gold and a new pacific blue. Preorders start on October 16 for the iPhone 12 Pro and November 6 for the iPhone 12 Pro Max.
